The Rennes youth team continued their impressive start to the season with another impressive performance on Saturday afternoon, as they scored five goals and added three assists in round two of the UEFA U18 Challenge Cup.

The first goal came from the penalty spot when midfielder Nabil Mekhini headed home a corner kick by defender Thierry Chouinard. The second goal was scored just minutes later when winger Eliahi Mendy scored after a well-taken free-kick from a corner kick.

The third goal was scored by the forward who played for the club previously, striker Alphonse Fadjar, who scored his second goal in four games. This was followed up by a stunning strike from the penalty area where winger Zaha Hadjikostas hit the back of the net after a neat cross from teammate Lamine Kankan.

In addition to these goals, the team also added a brace from midfielder Yannick Boulanger and a brace from forward Benoît Bocquet. The team's defense was also outstanding with both players scoring goals.

The captain, Nabil Mekhini, said that it was great to have the support of the fans at the pitch and that he was looking forward to playing for the national team again.

Overall, the team's performance was fantastic and showed the potential of young talent in the country. The next match is against Lyon on Sunday, so there is still plenty of time for the team to continue improving and becoming even better.

In conclusion, the Rennes Youth Team has shown that they can be a force to be reckoned with in the UEFA U18 Challenge Cup. With their hard work and determination, they will undoubtedly succeed in the upcoming matches.
